When you create an S3 Integration in the Datagran platform, there are two main steps that you need to complete. The first step is to create the necessary role in your AWS account, and the next step is to setup the integration on the Datagran Platform.

Step #1: Create Role

The following script creates a new role (with the name S3ReadRole) that has S3 Read Only access. In addition, it gives Datagran access to this role. Once you execute the following script, you will see an external id printed out. This will be used in the Datagran platform – which is a secure way that we want Datagran to access the role.

After running this script, you should have;

• A new role with the name S3ReadRole
• An external ID that consists of 6 characters

Step #2: Setup Integration

In this phase, you need to enter information related to the your CSV files and AWS account.

The following screenshot shows an example where csv files are stored in

• datagran-s3 bucket and in data/ directory.
