Task:
I want to know the inventory of the different products by brands and stop doing it manually so I will be able to understand rotation or missing products.
Also, I want to be able to know how often, when, and the optimal amount of product I have to order from my supplier.
How it can be done with Datagran:
You can have your inventory data at hand and make a better prediction of your stock through the integration of sources, with the data of your store to visualize, analyze, and run machine learning pipelines.
How can you actually do this:
- KNOW YOUR INVENTORY: For the first query, you have to:
A) Prepare data in order to integrate your transactional data from your storage system into Datagran´s platform.
B) Create a Pipeline in which you drag your data source inside the pipeline canvas (for example the different home appliances brands you have).
C) Use a custom SQL operator editor, that will allow you to see what type of data you have in each source and calculate the type of information you need, as inventory rotation, missing units, input and output control, etc.II.
- PREDICT: For the second query the A, B, and C steps are the same, but additionally you must select a linear regression operator to be able to predict the stock needed for the next period of time, based on input and output history for example. For this step, you must select from your data which would be the X column as months, and your Y column that would be output products, after selecting these variables, run the pipeline to see the predicted output products for the next period in a table.

- What we recommend is to analyze the behavioral data + transactional data to be ready to predict the kind of products your clients have more interest in and are more likely to buy.
